Amid the hectic activity of the holidays remember to take time to celebrate the most important blessings: time spent with family, and friends. The days pass in a blur, melting into years, leaving only memories. Create warm fuzzies that you will remember and treasure in the years to come. Be intentional about the history you are building as a family. Long after the excitement of gift giving fades, what is remembered are the feelings that are shared. Make time to have fun. Happy Holidays from the coaches at GIFT Family Services.
Amid the Holiday Sparkle, Love Glows

As my children have grown older, they share the memories of Christmases past with their friends and other families members. Material things are not what matter to them, it’s the relationships and experiences!
I appreciate the reminder to be intentional about creating treasured memories around the holiday time. Once I was wrapped up in making it all perfect but as I have grown older and wiser (I hope!:)), I enjoy the simple pleasures of just being together.
As 2013 comes to a close and 2014 fast approaches, I want to expand on this idea of being intentional in creating memories with family — making the time to be with each individual member of the family sharing together what they enjoy. I have found this to be another way to develop positive moments that just might be treasured in the future. Who knows?! But as parents we must continue to try each day as well as during the holidays!
