The Growing Intentional Families Together (G.I.F.T.) Adoption Attuned Certified Coaching course has been a life-changing experience for me.  As an adult adoptee from a closed adoption, the program guided me on a learning journey that opened my eyes and heart to a body of knowledge and perspectives that I had never been exposed to before.  

The comprehensive curriculum was thoughtfully designed and centered around the TriSpective Coaching Model and Tri-relational Interconnectivity approaches to adoption, building from foundational concepts to advanced coaching techniques. I particularly valued the modules on supporting birth parents, adoptive families, and adult adoptees, each of which was explored with compassion, sensitivity, and depth.  

As the first ICF-approved adoption coaching program, the quality of the instructors was crucial to its success.  G.I.F.T. nailed it!  Each brought decades of hands-on experience as adoption professionals and certified coaches, having personally navigated the complexities of adoption as members of the adoption triad.  

Their knowledge wasn’t just academic; they shared practical insights, actual case studies, and offered nuanced, advanced approaches to best meet the clients’ needs. The instructors’ genuine care, patience, and passion were always evident and ensured an open and safe space where we were encouraged to discuss complex and challenging scenarios together. 

This course has transformed my understanding of adoption and equipped me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.  I am thrilled to recommend this ICF-certified program to anyone committed to becoming an adoption attuned coach. Its breadth of content, structure, and supportive learning environment make it invaluable for those who wish to make a positive impact on this population, which is often misunderstood, unseen, and unheard.

I came across the Growing Intentional Families Together Adoption Attuned Certification Course on Instagram. I joined because I could finally get the training I needed to become an adoption competent professional. The college I attended did not offer anything that was adoption related. So being able to take this program and become an adopted attuned coach, my dream to work with adoptees had come true.
